The aim of course:
Flight Instructor (FI) is a complete course, designed to train the student pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to enable them to operate as flight instructors, on single engine airplanes. The duration of the course is 6 weeks.
Theoritical Training:
The aim of theoretical training is to prepare the future instructor on teaching and learning methods. Student psychology and various teaching techniques will be covered in the 120 hrs of the ground school. In the duration of the ground school, the training instructors will give a number of lectures to a live audience (active commercial students), on various aviation subjects.
Flight Training:
The student will complete 30 hrs of flight training. During the flight training, the student will be shown all flight exercises and will be instructed on private pilot student training techniques. In addition, the student will be expected to do proper briefings and debriefings as well as evaluations of students’ errors and provide corrective actions.
Entry Requirements
- Valid EASA CPL license
- At least 30 hrs on single-engine piston airplanes of which at least 5 hrs within the last six months
- Pre-entry flight test and interview, accessing the student’s ability to undertake the course
- EASA Medical Class 1 certificate
